At Leaf & Latch, we believe in original creativity—and we work hard to grow and protect it. This Intellectual Property Policy explains what’s protected, what counts as misuse, and what steps we take to protect our leafy brand, products, and digital assets.

What’s Covered by Intellectual Property Law

Everything created and sold by Leaf & Latch is original content and is protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws, including but not limited to:

Digital planners, inserts, journals, and sticker books
Printable stationery, sticker sheets, Kindle inserts, and layout packs
Physical sticker and magnet designs
Product names, titles, and taglines
The Leaf & Latch logo and visual brand elements
Website graphics, custom icons, and content layout
Marketing copy, social captions, and product descriptions
Program names and structures (like Rooted Rewards)

We do not tolerate copying, redistribution, unauthorized commercial use, or passing off our work as your own.

What Counts as Infringement

You may not, without written permission from Leaf & Latch:

Reproduce, resell, or distribute our digital files or physical products
Upload Leaf & Latch products to Canva, Pinterest, Etsy, or other third-party sites
Use our product names, titles, or brand phrases for your own commercial products
Alter or edit our files for resale, even if “heavily modified”
Remove copyright notices or branding from product files
Create “inspired by” duplicates that closely resemble our designs
Claim credit for any of our designs, templates, or copy

Doing any of the above is a violation of our IP rights and may result in legal action.

If You Think Something’s Yours…

We totally get that sometimes creators create similar things—plants do cross-pollinate after all. If you believe something on our website infringes on your original work, please reach out to us directly so we can investigate:

A description of the material you believe was copied
A link to the original work
Proof that you are the rights holder

We take all reports seriously and will respond promptly.

Enforcement & DMCA

Leaf & Latch reserves the right to:

Report listings or posts that violate our copyrights or trademarks
Submit DMCA takedown notices to hosting platforms, marketplaces, or social media networks
Pursue legal remedies if violations are repeated or egregious

We use watermarking, metadata, and search tools to monitor unauthorized sharing or duplication of our materials.

We’re a small business rooted in creativity, and every design we release is made with intention, energy, and lots of planty passion. If you love what we do, support it—don’t copy it.
