They’re designed for deeper reflection and ongoing use, and may include:

  • Flexible structure (not daily-pressure systems)

I create these for people who want a container for growth — not a checklist.

What is a Petite Digital Ritual Journal?

Petite Digital Ritual Journals are shorter, more focused journals built around a single intention, season, or theme.

They’re ideal if you:

  • Want a lower-commitment experience
  • Prefer simplicity
  • Are navigating a specific moment or transition
  • Don’t want a large, ongoing journal

They’re intentionally lighter — but still meaningful.

What is a Mental Unload (Brain Dump) Digital Journal?

Mental Unload Journals are designed to help you clear mental clutter without structure overload.

They’re best used for:

  • Stress relief
  • Thought dumping
  • Emotional processing
  • Getting things out of your head and onto a page

These are not planners and don’t require consistency or routine.

Are these planners?

Some journals include planning-adjacent layouts, but Leaf & Latch is not a traditional planner brand.

I design journals to support reflection, grounding, and personal clarity — not rigid productivity systems or daily tracking expectations.

Do I need to use the journals in a specific way?

No. There’s no “right” way to use a Leaf & Latch journal.

You can:

  • Skip pages
  • Repeat pages
  • Use them occasionally or consistently
  • Adapt them to your own rhythms

They’re meant to support you — not demand performance.

How do I know which journal is right for me?

If you’re deciding between options:

  • Choose Full if you want depth and a longer experience
  • Choose Petite if you want something focused and gentle
  • Choose Mental Unload if your mind feels crowded and you want relief

USING THE JOURNALS (EXPECTATIONS & FLEXIBILITY)

Do I need to use my journal every day?

No. Daily use is not required.

Leaf & Latch journals are designed to meet you where you are — whether that’s daily, weekly, occasionally, or only when you need it.

You’re not “behind” if you pause or skip time.

Is there a correct order to use the pages?

No. Most journals are intentionally non-linear.

You can:

  • Start anywhere
  • Skip sections
  • Return to pages later
  • Repeat pages you find helpful

The structure exists to support you, not control the experience.

What does “ritual journaling” mean?

Ritual journaling is about intention, not routine.

It might look like:

  • Journaling with a cup of coffee
  • Opening your journal during stressful moments
  • Checking in during seasonal shifts
  • Using the journal when you feel called to it

It’s not about productivity, streaks, or self-optimization.

What if I don’t feel creative?

That’s completely okay.

You don’t need to be artistic, consistent, or expressive for these journals to be useful. Writing a few words, doodling, or even just opening the page counts.

There’s no expectation to “make it pretty.”

Can I reuse pages or duplicate layouts?

Yes. These journals are designed with reuse in mind.

You’re welcome to:

  • Duplicate pages
  • Use the same layout multiple times
  • Return to sections as often as you like

This is especially helpful for Mental Unload journals and reflection pages.

What if I stop using a journal for a while?

Nothing bad happens.

You can return whenever you’re ready — days, weeks, or months later. There’s no reset, no penalty, and no expectation to “catch up.”

Will using these journals guarantee a specific result?

No. Journals are supportive tools, not outcomes or solutions.

They don’t promise transformation, productivity, or healing — and they’re not a replacement for professional support.

What they offer is space — what you do with that space is personal and variable.

DIGITAL FORMAT, ACCESS & COMPATIBILITY

Are Leaf & Latch products physical or digital?

All Leaf & Latch journals are digital downloads unless explicitly stated otherwise.

No physical items are shipped for digital journal purchases.

What file format are the journals?

Most journals are delivered as PDF files.

Most products also include:

  • PNG stickers
  • Supplementary files
  • Bonus digital resources

All included files are listed on the product page.

What apps work best with your journals?

Leaf & Latch journals work best with PDF annotation apps such as:

  • GoodNotes
  • Notability
  • Noteshelf

  • PDF Readers

They can also be viewed on any device that supports PDF files, though the experience may vary.

Do I need an iPad or tablet?

No. An iPad or tablet is not required.

You can use Leaf & Latch journals on:

  • Tablets
  • Laptops
  • Desktop computers
  • Touchscreen devices

However, handwriting and annotation features work best on tablet-based apps.

How do I receive my digital files?

After completing your purchase:

  • You’ll receive an email with a download link
  • You can download your files directly from that link

If you don’t see the email, check your spam or promotions folder.

Can I download my files more than once?

Yes. Download links are provided after purchase.

That said, I strongly recommend saving a personal copy of your files once downloaded, as access links may expire or change over time.

What if my file doesn’t download or open correctly?

If you experience a technical issue:

  • Make sure your device and app support PDF files
  • Make sure Zipped files are Un-zipped
  • Try downloading the file again
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Are digital purchases refundable?

Because these are digital downloads, all digital sales are final, as outlined in the Return & Refund Policy.

If you receive a corrupted or incomplete file, support will assist with resolution.

ORDERS, ACCESS & UPDATES

Will my journal be updated after I purchase it?

Some journals may receive updates or refinements over time, but updates are not guaranteed unless clearly stated on the product page.

If updates are included, details will be shared in the product description or purchase materials.

Do I get free updates forever?

No. Unless explicitly stated, purchases include access to the version available at the time of purchase.

Free, lifetime updates are not automatically included with digital products.

What happens if a journal is retired or discontinued?

If a journal is retired, discontinued, or vaulted:

  • Existing customers retain access to the files they downloaded
  • The product may no longer be available for future purchase
  • Updates or re-releases are not guaranteed

What if I accidentally purchase the wrong product?

SUMMIT JOURNALS & CUSTOM WORK

What are Digital Summit Journals?

Digital Summit Journals are custom, event-based digital journals created for online summits, workshops, retreats, or multi-day learning experiences.

They’re designed to support:

  • Session notes
  • Speaker reflections
  • Prompted integration
  • Participant engagement

Summit Journals are not retail products and are not sold as individual downloads to customers.

Can I purchase a Summit Journal as a customer?

No. Summit Journals are created for event hosts, not for individual retail purchase.

If you’ve attended a summit and received a journal, access is provided by the event host — not sold separately by Leaf & Latch.

Do you offer custom Summit Journals?

Yes — by inquiry only.

Custom Summit Journals are available on a limited basis and are tailored to the specific needs of an event. Scope, pricing, and timelines vary depending on the project.

What customization options are available?

Can I request a collaboration or custom journal?

Possibly.

Collaboration and custom journal requests are reviewed selectively based on:
